NAAC (The National Assessment and Accreditation Council) was established in 1994 as an autonomous institution and it basically identifies the quality of the institute/college/university in terms of education, research, faculty and infrastructure.
MIT Meerut (Meerut Institute of Technology) is the best Engineering college in Meerut and has been awarded NAAC "A" grade for Engineering studies(B.Tech in Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Comm. Engineering), Pharma studies (B. Pharma), Business Administration and Computer Applications (BCA and BBA) and B.Sc Agriculture.
Vishnu Education Foundation has stemmed out from the same society “The City Educational & Social Welfare Society”. The Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology, Meerut (MIET) had also received UPTU Excellence Award in 2008 and 2009 from Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow
